

VC graduates 57 from Associate Degree Nursing Program Victoria College Associate Degree Nursing graduates and faculty participate in the Lighting of the Candles during the May 11 pinning ceremony at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts. Fifty-seven Victoria College Associate Degree Nursing graduates were honored at a pinning ceremony on May 11 at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts. Kasey Quinney received the $1,000 BJ Peterson Award for dedication, positive spirit and compassionate attitude toward all patients. Mia Bakken was recognized for having the highest grade point average. Melanie Mamerow, Jessica Hartt, Jec Andrei Tanafranca and Jamey Sanchez received Student Nurses Association pins for their volunteer service. Other graduates who received their nursing pins were Josie Alcala-Patterson, Marlena Alvarez, Diana Avalos, Annie Badmus-Ross, Jonathan Blackburn, Zachary Blundell, Kate Brewer, Valrie Brown, Vanessa Cantu, Jordan Cox, Sidney Cumberland, Staci Darilek, Kendall Doyle, Leah Doyle, Carly Durham, Alicia Flores, Alysha Fojtik, Meghan Fromme, Francis Gaitan, Kayli Garber, Destiny Garcia, Adrianna Grant, Priscilla Hadley, Shelbey Hardin, Marissa Hartfield, Marissa Holsey, Lauren Kirchoff, Kori Lanik, Melanie Mamerow, Eric Martinez, Patricia Martinez, Kati May, Jessica Medina, Alexandria Nerio, Kaysi Neuvar, Ruben Nunez, Karla Ortiz, Lorrine Perez, Sarah Perez, Jasmine Rodriguez, Yessenia Rodriguez, Natalie Salinas, Barrett Sarlls, Thea Shumbera, Amber Smolik, Michelle Villarreal, Monica Warren, Trista Welfel, Maya Wilkinson, Victoria Williams and Lauren Wood. The nursing pins were presented by Catherine R. McHaney, member of Victoria College's Board of Trustees. "We'd like to all thank you for choosing a life of service to others in choosing a nursing career," Hinds told the graduates.
